Project: Direct Laser Engraving

Project objective and brief description of activities:

The objective of the project is to green the production process of the company Anilox by procuring and implementing new, energy-efficient, and technologically advanced production equipment. This equipment includes a direct laser engraving system, a test printing machine, a portable spectrometer and densitometer, as well as software for creating 3D cells.

The procurement of the mentioned equipment will result in the introduction of an innovative production process that will enable the manufacturing of high-quality gravure printing rollers. The use of these rollers by Anilox's clients will allow for significant financial savings in the amount of ink required throughout the entire printing process. As a result, the project will not only benefit the company itself but will also have a substantial positive impact on the environment.

• project audit
• public procurement activities
• promotion and visibility activities

Planned project results

The project activities are expected to successfully contribute to the achievement of the planned results, manifested through:

• increased revenue and profit for the company
• creation of six new jobs by 2025
• protection of intellectual property in the form of a patent
• annual reduction of CO2 emissions
• annual reduction in the amount of electricity required to produce the same unit of product (rollers)
• additional savings in the production process through reduced consumption of raw materials and lower tool maintenance costs

Source of funding:

The project is supported by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014–2021 (EEA and Norway Grants 2014–2021), under the Program Business Development and Innovation Croatia. The program operator is the Norwegian governmental agency Innovation Norway.

Total project value is EUR 1.465.650 while the amount of non-refundable grant is EUR 877.510
