Realization of Norwegian funds
Our company successfully implemented the “direct laser engraving” project and achieved over 800.000 Euros of subsidies from Norwegian funds.
On February 15th, 2024, in the offices of Anilox Ltd., the final conference of the “Direct Laser Engraving” project was held, where the achieved results were presented. Anilox is the leading company in the region in the field of graphic preparation, production and engraving of rollers for printing flexible packaging and printing in the decor industry. Environmental protection is one of the company’s priorities, and it is carried out by applying the principles of sustainable development and cleaner production. At the conference, the following addressed us with appropriate words and presentation of the results:

The goal of the project, which was successfully achieved, is further developing the Anilox company’s production process towards the green through the procurement and implementation of new, energy-efficient and technologically advanced production equipment, which consists of a system for direct laser engraving of gravure printing rollers, as well as equipment for control, testing and engraving development, roller test press, portable spectrometer and densitometer, and software for creating 3D engraved cells.
The following devices were acquired:
- Hell, Cellaxy C500 V5
- Heaford, Proof Press HA 3500×1800
- X-Rite Pantone Exact 2 Plus
The acquisition of the mentioned equipment resulted in the introduction of an innovative production process that enables the production of gravure printing rollers of the highest quality level.
The use of tools/rollers produced with this technology, by Anilox’s clients, will also enable them to make significant financial savings, through the possibility of better printing on recycled materials as well as in the reduced amount of paint needed for the entire printing process, which will make the whole project, apart from the company itself, have significant benefits for partners as well as the environment.
Project activities included procurement and implementation of the mentioned equipment, project audit, public procurement activities, and publicity and visibility.
It is expected that the project activities will successfully contribute to meeting the project results expressed through: an increase in the income and profit of the company, the creation of 6 new jobs in the period until 2025, an annual reduction of CO2 emissions and the amount of electricity required for the production of the same unit of product (rollers) and other savings related to the production process.
The project is supported by funds from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 (EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021), within the Business Development and Innovation Croatia Program, and will be implemented from June 22, 2022 to February 29, 2024.
The total value of the project is 1.465.650 EUR, while the amount of grants is 877.510 EUR.
