Rotogravure roller is a complex product, because it is a final result of merging of several different technologies:
- steel base technical preparation and manufacturing
- electrochemical process of copper plating
- turning and grinding to a precise final diameter
- polishing to demanded surface rughosity
- electronic engraving or electrochemical etching
- final chrome plating
- proof printing as the final control
Rigorous controls and measurements during all production phases and throughout every particular operation ensures high quality product. That is why we in Anilox pay the same attention on both technical characteristics of the cylinder (its geometry, treatment of its surface, firmness, etc.) as well as engraving, and we have defined workflow with complete documentation that ensures safe moving of cylinder from one stage to another, only if all controllable measures are within the measure tolerances.
Close relationship with the customer, respecting technical conditions of later printing environment, by using Color Management and by choosing special parameters for each customer, enable us to get a cylinder that will give our customer optimal results when printing.
We are specially proud of the fact that our customers often say that using our cylinder they know in advance that there will not be any problems with printing. That means that removing the cylinder from the printing machine goes fast, that colors are prepared according to the standards, etc. This all provides cost reducing, by saving time and material.
That is how we have achieved our two most important criteria- high quality product and contentment of our customer as a consumer of that product.
